  2. Be thankful for how he remembers

Be thankful for how he remembers every little detail about you. Be thankful for how he remembered that you vaguely pointed at a pack of Loacker Napolitaner and said you liked that snack while passing by a shelf of biscuits in a petrol station. Be thankful how you came home one night after complaining about a lack of snacks in the office to find a pack of Loacker on your table - and it’s the right flavour, Napolitaner.

Be thankful how he remembers your little quirks, habits and fears. Be thankful how he remembers you prefer to sleep on the inside of the bed, and how you fuss about whether he washes his feet when entering the house. Be thankful how he remembers the most mundane things about you, like your skincare routine.

Be thankful for how he remembers and wants to learn about what you like. Be thankful how he reads up by himself on your favourite bands and literature. Be thankful how he wants to immerse himself in your world, just like how you want to steep yourself in his.

Be thankful for how he remembers the littlest and most trivial things you say. Be thankful how he remembers the name of an acquaintance you briefly mentioned, and what time your lessons start and end every week even though he does not have a copy of your timetable.

Remember how he remembers, and be thankful for how he remembers.

  3. A Boy

A boy who needs to see you smile. Not a want, but a need. Such that when you don’t smile for a slightly extended period of time, he finds it necessary to look for something to make you smile; he whips out a video of a Running Man episode he loves, makes you watch it. For the sole purpose of seeing your smile. And he spends the whole duration of the video looking at nothing but your face.

A boy who can’t bear for you to be tired. Not a sentiment, but a compulsion. Such that when you look overcome with fatigue, he simply picks you up, ignores your protests, carries you home. For the sole purpose of ensuring you don’t have to wear yourself out further. And he spends the whole duration of the walk home telling you jokes to further alleviate your physical exhaustion.

  5. Not fun enough

    hspn:

    André Villas-Boas & Luís Martins, 8 November 2012

Luís Martins is not fun enough for André Villas-Boas.

Brother: I feel like I would be that guy on the side if I was AVB’s assistant, except I would be running at him for a hug after every goal.

Me: At first I was, like, Why didn’t AVB take his [Chelsea] first team coach with him to Spurs, then was all, Oh yeah. Shut up, I hit my head this week. Anyway, I wonder if AVB shoved him because he was, like, You’re not Robbie. It’s true.
